Ensure quality education and modern facilities for College of the Redwoods students

College of the Redwoods serves Del Norte, Humboldt, and Trinity counties, playing a crucial role by providing affordable education for lower and middle-income students who cannot bear the high costs of university education. Measure I ensures these students continue to have access to quality education and career opportunities.

Our local college supports students pursuing a wide array of subjects for personal, professional, and academic enrichment. Despite its success, College of the Redwoods requires significant renovations to meet modern standards.

Many College of the Redwoods facilities have leaky roofs and deteriorating sewers, plumbing, heating and cooling systems. Science labs and classrooms need improvements to support current instructional standards. Unsafe buildings, including old and inadequate student housing, need to be rebuilt to ensure student safety and campus security.

Measure I provides locally controlled funding to repair and upgrade facilities so all students have access to the high quality education and opportunities they need to succeed in their future careers.
